10 Films That Teased Great Sequels (That Never Happened)

For many What We Do in the Shadows was their first introduction to the now Oscar winning and universally adored Taika Waititi. Taking the mockumentary format and applying it to the every day lives of vampires was an inspired move and alongside penning and directing this 2014 film, Waititi plays the adorable protagonist Viago.

This cult classic vampire mockumentary ends with the bittersweet revelation that Stu, the human friend of the vampires who looked like he had met his grisly end at the hands of the werewolves was now one of them. The idea of a spin-off sequel has been floated around with the idea that it follows the werewolves, in place of the vampires, led by Rhys Darby's Anton and sees Stu's transition to the world of the moon-obsessed and well spoken creatures.

Apart from coming up with a title for this sequel, the brilliantly titled 'We're Wolves', Waititi has stated that he will be too busy with a Thor sequel, his newly announced Star Wars film and a potential Akira adaptation and will not have time to make this any time soon.
