8. Simon Sez (1999)
Dennis Rodman has been many things during his interesting career; decorated basketball player, part-time professional wrestler, reality television star and unofficial envoy to North Korea to name but a few. Back in the 1990's he turned his hand to acting, which resulted in several awful movies, with his efforts in Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle Double Team earning him three Razzie Awards. Simon Sez is arguably the worst of his cinematic exploits, with Rodman hilariously cast as an Interpol agent and displaying all of the acting ability and charisma of a sock. This tedious action/comedy actually managed to score a theatrical release, and earned a whopping $292,000 for its troubles, which is probably more than it deserved. Given numerous sidekicks during the course of the movie in order to cover his blatant limitations, Simon Sez is about as generic and formulaic as these movies get, packed to the brim with poor dialogue (Rodman in particular seems to be reading his lines from cue-cards), painful attempts at humor and several uninspiring action sequences.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
