10 Films Titles That Had Nothing To Do With The Plot

2. Automaton Transfusion

automation transfusion Made in 2005 on a shoestring budget, this zombie film sleeper was widely panned, even by those who enjoyed anything the zombie genre offered. It was a valiant effort at a good old fashioned zombie tale, but unfortunately it fell short on all levels. Despite negative responses, the film can boast being a zombie film with a title that doesn't have the word "dead" in it. However, that's the only thing the title can boast, as it has nothing else to do with the movie. Automaton is defined as a "self operating machine or robot." Transfusion is defined as "the act of transferring." So, the title literally translates to robots being transported from one place to another. Nothing about zombies, viruses, or the apocalypse. One could make the argument that it refers to the transference of the zombie virus, but they are turned into zombies, not robots. When you see a title like that, you expect a complex science fiction adventure, not your run of the mill low-budget zombie film that barely manages to entertain. It just seems like its a fancy sounding title that is far too complicated to fit within its given context.
