2. Superman
Some countries might have actual people who serve as their national hero, but as far as we're concerned, Superman is more than good enough for us. So what if he's fictional? He's still the best representation of American values we're ever going to have. It's kind of his catchphrase, "I fight for truth, justice, and the American way." Superman has super everything -- super-speed, super-strength, super-vision, even super-morality. There's a reason why every reboot of Superman since the one from 1980 has, on some level, let audiences down. Because no matter how good Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill are as Superman, they're just not Christopher Reeve. So sit back and watch the best film version of Superman (and its sequels, if you've got an afternoon to kill!).
