2. Superman
Out of all film series to be cursed, it’s surprising to see that a series about a DC Superhero be one of the most cursed out of them all. The number of terrible things that happened to people who took part in the making of the Superman movies is shockingly numerous.
Kirk Alyn, Lee Quigley, George Reeves and Christopher Reeves are all Supermen who suffered at the hands of the ‘Superman Curse’: Kirk Alyn’s career quickly died after appearing in two low-budget 1940s Superman serials. Lee Quigley, who played Superman as a baby in the 1978 film, died of solvent abuse at the age of 14. George Reeves, who played Superman in 1951, died in mysterious circumstances in 1959. Finally, Christopher Reeves, who played Superman in the famous series that started in 1978, was paralyzed from the neck down in a horse-riding event and died suddenly in 2004.
That’s not all, as numerous other people had their lives drastically altered or even destroyed after their involvement in a Superman film or TV show. This includes Marlon Brando, Margot Kidder, Richard Pryor, Dana Reeve, Siegel and Shuster and the Fleischer brothers. All of their lives were affected drastically because of Superman in some way or another.
