10 Films You Loved As A Teen, But Should Never Watch Again

5. The Faculty

The Faculty
Miramax Films

The self-righteous adolescent belief that our teachers were our worst enemies manifested itself perfectly in this knowingly schlocky Robert Rodriguez flick. Starring the likes of Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood and Clea Duvall, The Faculty was a film that told us as teenagers, on a deep-down level, that we were right all long. Teachers are the enemy, they're tying to take over the world, and they must be stopped.

Other than its message of rebellion against being a good, ruly kid, The Faculty was essentially The Thing for teenagers (complete with blood-test scene) - a gentle push into the world of body horror, that can now be much better appreciated in the films of David Cronenborg or - if you want to maintain that cheesy edge - Stuart Gordon.
