Paxton was the douchey lead character of the original Hostel and he just about survived the events of the it, but with all that torture and death – not to mention losing a couple of fingers – he was understandably left a bit shaken by the whole ordeal.

He lives an isolated life with his girlfriend, and suffers horrible nightmares and memories - as you would really. His girlfriend eventually gets sick of his whining about the torture hostel from hell, but the joke's on her when she later finds his decapitated body with a cat licking around the stump.

Despite his initial dude-bro attitude Paxton certainly grew as a character in the final act of Hostel, so it’s a bummer he ultimately wasn’t able to escape his fate. At least his death meant he wasn’t around for the third movie, since watching that is already a fate worse than death.
