9. The House Of The Devil
Ti West's terrific satanic panic throwback The House of the Devil sees student Sam (Jocelin Donahue) take a babysitting job at a remote mansion, only to discover that she's actually been ensnared in a grim ritual.
At film's end, the result of this ritual seemingly leaves Sam pregnant with the Antichrist, and so in order to escape this fate, she shoots herself in the head. However, the ending reveals that she inexplicably survived, albeit while now in a coma.
And then, in the chilling final moments, the nurse implies that Sam is indeed still pregnant, and so the cult members' plan to impregnate her with the Antichrist actually worked.
With that in mind, the audience is left to consider what the hell's going to happen next. Will Sam wake up? If so, what will she remember? And what's going to happen when she gives birth to a hell-spawn? All in all, it's not looking good.
