5. Resistance

Arriving later in 2019 to scratch the WW2 period drama itch, Resistance chronicles the real lives of a bunch of Jewish Boy Scouts who worked with the French resistance fighters to save 10,000 orphans during the peak of the Second World War. It'll no doubt be gunning for some award recognition as well, bolstered by a great cast made up of Jesse Eisenberg, Ed Harris, Edgar Ramirez, Clémence Poésy and Lyanna Mormont herself, Bella Ramsay.

The first image released from the project focuses on Eisenberg in costume as French actor and mime Marcel Marceau, who spent much of the war working with the resistance across Europe.

There's not much else yet known about the flick, and director Jonathan Jakubowicz hasn't directed too many features to date (but the ones he has have been well received), but it could become a major contender come the end of the year.
