6. Adopt A Highway

If Adopt a Highway's elevator pitch doesn't have you immediately hooked, then you might as well ignore the rest of this entry, because it ain't getting any better from here. The film is essentially about Ethan Hawke playing an ex-con who finds a baby abandoned in a dumpster, and takes it as a calling to completely channel his life into something that has meaning.

The flick is serving as Logan Marshall-Green's directorial and writing debut, and considering the strange cult work he's been doing recently - including last year's breakout hit Upgrade - it'll no doubt share a similar strand of black humour at the heart of it.

Whether or not he's as good a filmmaker as he is an actor is yet to be seen, but with that premise and Ethan Hawk in tow, it's certainly one you should be keeping an eye on.
