10 Flaws Which Prevented Max: Fury Road From Being Perfect

9. Max Hardly Drives His Car

Practically the first thing we get to see in Mad Max: Fury Road is Max's Ford Falcon XB - to anyone who grew up in the 80s this was a car which was almost as popular among movie fans as the De Lorean featured in the Back To The Future trilogy. Miller gives us a couple of cool shots of the beast firing all cylinders, followed by a wonderfully staged crash which seamlessly blends to Max crawling out of the window before being captured by the War Boys and taken to the Citadel. After Immortal Joe and his men head out to pursue Furiosa after she steals his wives - with Max secured to Nux's vehicle - the Ford Falcon XB can be seen in the chase, Max shouting through his face mask, "That's mine!" And then the Ford Falcon XB all but vanishes from the movie. While the action certainly doesn't require this legendary car to keep the adrenaline pumping, it would have been nice to have seen Max reunited with it after all that had transpired. Hopefully the Ford Falcon XB will return in the upcoming sequels.
