10 Foolproof Movie Methods For Murdering Your Spouse

6. Tie Up All The Loose Ends (Body Heat, 1981)

You can€™t afford to leave anything hanging, here. No evidence must point your way€ and if there is any, you€™ll need to have a plan in place to have it removed. In Body Heat, Matty Walker has a prenuptial agreement that gets her none of her husband€™s wealth in the event of a divorce. Bored and greedy, she sets about having an affair with callow, inept lawyer Ned, a man that she can wrap around her finger. Ultimately, Matty seduces him into committing the crime and believing that the whole thing was his idea. Just like in Dial M For Murder, she plants evidence that points straight to Ned. It€™s the perfect crime, because it€™s not a frame-job. He literally did the deed. When Ned suspects that he€™s being done over like a kipper, he goes to confront Matty, who vanishes, faking her own death in an explosion originally meant for him. In jail, Ned tries to convince police as to how convincingly he€™s been set up€ but it€™s too perfect, and Matty is long gone.
