10 Forgotten Sci-Fi Horror Movies That You Need To Watch
7. Pandorum
There's something to know instantly about this movie (which probably explains why it never found traction), and that's that it's not the most groundbreaking or original idea. The narrative to Pandorum is something you've probably seen in countless other movies - especially in the survival horror genre - but that doesn't mean it's got nothing to offer.
The story takes place on an interstellar ark that travels to an Earth-like planet called Tanis. Two flight crew members awaken from hypersleep to find their memories gone, and a host of mutants suffering from Pandorum (a space-related psychosis) coming after them.
It's a tense flick with some well-crafted characters and a visual style that almost takes inspiration from a combination of Alien and Hellraiser. There's plenty of action set pieces to keep you entertained, and while the story isn't the most original, you'll undoubtedly fall for the flick's brutal baddies and intense pacing.
Unfortunately, despite being an ambitious and well-crafted sci-fi horror, the movie was a massive flop at the box office, essentially sealing its fate as a forgotten flick.
