10 Formerly Great Film Roles That Are Horribly Awkward Today

5. Kristen Stewart €“ Snow White and the Huntsman

Kristen Stewart was very much hated by fans of Robert Pattison before this film came out, mainly because they couldn't believe that a girl who breathily 'emoted' her way through a tepid franchise had managed to bag herself that dashingly handsome bag of rocks for a face. Around the time of its release of this film €“ great timing for the producers you may think €“ the affair with first-time director Rupert Sanders came to fruition, which created a huge fuss for a girl who already had the world on her back. This film will now forever remembered as 'that film' which destroyed R-Patz and Stewart, but still couldn't kill all the gossip magazine column inches. It doesn't really matter how good the film looks, or how scene-stealing Charlize Theron is, this film will now forever be marred by what happened between Stewart and Sanders. This kind of infatuation with an older member of the opposite sex is quite often referenced in normal life as a part of growing up, but when your love life is as overexposed as Kristen's, coupled with the fact that, unlike most young people, you are in a position to pursue such an impulse, Snow White and The Huntsman will be forever tainted by the actions of the pair. Kristen Stewart's performance is actually fairly safe and solid in this film, seeing her break free from the shackles of miserable Emo sour face, Bella Swan. But given the overblown scandal that gave the likes of Perez Hilton an orgasm of bile to write, it's safe to say there will not be a sequel.
