If you haven't seen Teeth yet, prepare yourself for one of the more outlandish concepts in modern horror. The film follows a teenage girl called Dawn, who works as a spokesperson for a Christian abstinence group called The Promise. Of all the girls on this list, Dawn starts off as the most pure, abstaining from any of the vices that tempt most teenagers at some point in their school lives. Pretty standard so far right? Soon, Dawn hits it off with a fellow Christian in the group called Tobey, but after things get heated, Tobey sexually assaults her. Boy, did he pick the wrong girl. It turns out that the 'teeth' of the title refer to vagina dentata, a condition where actual teeth have grown inside of Dawn's vagina. Dawn starts out as an innocent victim but after a gynecologist assaults her in a vaginal exam, she decides to no longer just use her condition to defend herself. Here, the 'final girl' has literally mutated into something stronger, a woman who actively uses her sexuality as a weapon against the violence of male predators.
