10 Funniest Deaths In Comedy Movies
6. The Nice Guys - March Finds A Body
This one is a bit of a cheat because we don't see the guy die, just the aftermath of it. But, the actual death couldn't be any funnier than Ryan Gosling's reaction to finding the body.
After falling off a balcony while drunkenly trying to impress a woman, Gosling's Holland March finds himself lying next to a corpse. At first he doesn't notice anything due to him not being able to smell, but once he sees what's next to him he loses his cool fast.
March immediately begins hyperventilating and frantically moving his arms as he attempts to get the attention of his partner, and the two have to work together to hide the dead man. Unfortunately for the party going on next door, they get an unwelcome surprise when the body crashes their shindig.
Gosling doesn't get nearly enough credit for comedic chops. We tend to only see him in dramatic roles, but his physical comedy here is on a level reminiscent of Bruce Campbell at his best as Ash Williams, making his lovable idiot of a character all the more endearing.
Then there's the fact that he only discovered the corpse because he was drinking like a fish and hitting on ladies instead of actual investigating the case. These two elements mixed together make for the perfect comedic recipe.
