There are plenty of great deaths in Tucker and Dale Vs Evil, but the idiotic teenager diving headfirst into a wood chipper is hands down the most hysterical.

This death is actually sort of two-in-one, as right before the guy leaps into the wood chipper, another stupid teenager accidentally impales himself with a crudely made spear. But, while that's just funny, the wood chipper death a few seconds later is flat out hilarious.

Much like the absurdity talked about in the Dr. Strangelove entry, this moment really highlights the inherent insanity found in the horror genre. People die in ridiculously gory ways all the time in horror movies, but it's usually at the hands of a killer or monster. Here though, it's solely through one persons immense stupidity.

What did he think would happen? The wood chipper was literally right there, and one wrong move would have been his last, which it was. Then there's poor Tucker, who finds himself covered head-to-toe in blood as he admirably tries to save the kid. If there was ever a time to call something a bloody mess, it would be for this.
