10 Funniest Things That Happened During The Making Of Harry Potter
8. Daniel Radcliffe’s Painful Blow To The Head
Partway through The Half-Blood Prince, Harry and Hermione are having a conversation in the Hogwarts library about Ron’s new girlfriend, Lavender Brown.
In the midst of the discussion, Harry catches the eye of Romilda Vane, an attractive fourth-year student. Hermione quickly reminds him that Romilda is only interested because she thinks he's the chosen one. Harry’s tongue-in-cheek response then forces Hermione to whack him across the forehead with a roll of parchment.
In the final cut of the film, Emma Watson’s strike is rather tame and playful. But in one of the earlier takes, she whacked her co-star a bit too hard. Daniel Radcliffe, despite his throbbing forehead, managed to keep it together for a few seconds – but neither of them could maintain their composure for very long. Indeed, Daniel was quick to notice Emma's suppressed laughter, which soon transitioned into an apologetic hug.
You wouldn't think a roll of parchment could cause too much pain, but Daniel later admitted that Emma's blunder did actually hurt him quite a lot.
