10 Funny Or Die Movies We Wish Were Real

1. The Landlord

The original Funny or Die megahit. Will Ferrel plays a man who hasn€™t quite owned up to the responsibilities of adult life (sound familiar?) and is trying desperately to avoid paying his landlord. Only his landlord isn€™t some fellow slacker adult, no no. It€™s a foul-mouthed, beer-swilling, quickly-violent three year old girl. And she terrifies the shit out of him. Will Ferrel Man-child comedies are box office certainties. Anchorman, Step Brothers, Talladega Nights, Wedding Crashers, Blades Of Glory. The list goes on. But how funny would it be if the adult child went up against the child adult? Judging by the brief two and a half minutes we get here, very funny. Get frequent collaborator and writer/director of the original short Adam McKay, and round out the cast with Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Danny McBride, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Zach Galifianakis and Adam Scott as the antagonist that Ferrell and The Landlord end up bonding over, then what you have there my friend is dynamite. A script full of visual gags and constant references to the fact a child is swearing on camera would be the least effort required to make this work. Because in Hollywood, no matter how dire something may be, just throw a list of stars and cameos and lowest common denominator gags, and no one will be any wiser. Like Movie 43. Right?
