10 Gaping Plot Holes That Will Ruin Your Favorite Movies

5. Never Ending Supply of Ice - Edward Scissorhands

Tim Burton hasn't made a good film in a seriously long time. As in decades. but back at the beginning of his career, the eccentric director was unstoppable, churning out classic movies left, right and center. Beetlejuice, Batman, Ed Wood; all of them tower over more recent trite such as Dark Shadows and Alice In Wonderland. But for many of Burton's fans, Edward Scissorhands has carved a special place in their hearts. Poor Edward lives all alone in a giant house that overlooks a small suburban town, sculpting beautiful ice statues in his spare time. That may be great for weddings and other special occasions, but there's one small issue with this strange yet productive hobby; Where on earth does all the ice come from? Edward supposedly hasn't seen anyone for years since his father died, yet his ice quota is still in steady supply. Now everyone's thinking the same thing. Ice delivery man. The problem with that is how does he place an order with scissors for hands? And even if Edward could somehow communicate his needs via telephone, smoke signals or even carrier pigeon, how would he sign for the ice? With the delivery man's blood after he accidentally cuts him trying to take a pen? Maybe Edward's father once won a lifetime's supply of ice in a competition for most eccentric inventor? Yeah, that must be it.
