1. The Dreamers
Most people know writer/director Bernardo Bertolucci from his steamy, buttery film Last Tango in Paris, slapped with an X rating when released back in 1972. It is a very iconic, erotic film and Im sure many thought that Bernardo would stop right there when it came to frank sexuality. They were all so, so wrong thanks to The Dreamers.
If you look at the movie posters, youre probably thinking Whats so bad about that? Those are three very attractive people. Sure...until you actually watch the film. See, Isabelle (Eva Green) and Theo (Louis Garrel) are brother and sister who pull in Matthew (Michael Pitt) for some very weird threesomes. They have no problem getting intimate with each other in often embarrassing ways.
Even worse than all that is when the brother watches his sister have sex with Matthew, then finds out that she was on her period. Does it end there? No. Matthew gets his hands all bloody, rubs it on her face and she rewards him with a menstrual-blood kiss-a-thon. Thanks, Bernardo, for ruining my date night.
