10 Giant Plot Holes You Probably Missed In Quentin Tarantino Movies

2. Why Does Mr. Pink Go Back To The Warehouse?

This is almost never mentioned, but why does Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi) go back to the warehouse to meet the others in Reservoir Dogs at all? In the movie the diamond heist these men were hired for goes very badly. Innocent civilians are killed along with several policeman and a few members of the crew. All the men hired for the job, each going under an alias based on a color, flees the premise making his means of escape. Back at the warehouse Mr. Pink meets up with Mr. White and a dying Mr. Orange where they wait for the others to show up. Mr. White is pissed, thinking the job was for nothing, but Pink reassures him by revealing that on his way out he managed to grab the diamonds. Here's what doesn't make sense. The very first thing out of Pink's mouth when he gets back to the warehouse is that he is 100% positive they were set up. So if they were set up and there's a good chance the cops already know about the warehouse than why would he go back there? As part of the plan the crime boss Joe made sure none of crew knew each other so Pink doesn't owe anything to rest of the men. He has the diamonds, which he could just give to Joe at a later time. Repeatedly in the film, Pink is consistently revealed to be the smartest man in the room. He has a voice of reason and can think things through. How could he make such an obviously fatal mistake?
