10 Giant Plot Holes You Probably Missed In Quentin Tarantino Movies

8. The Way the Girls Act Toward Stuntman Mike in Death Proof

Grind House (Death Proof) In his films, Quentin Tarantino is truly the god of his own universe. He has total creative control and when a character does something on the screen, no matter how bizarre, it was intended. That realization aside upon viewing Death Proof I was still incredibly put off by the way the girls act in that entire movie. By put off I mean distracted, taken out of the story, by the constant thought that no girl (or anyone else for that matter) would do what they did. While I may not be a girl if my questionable radio DJ friend bet the public that I would do a striptease for the first person that came up and said something bogus to me I'd probably punch them in the face. Secondly when the creepy random stranger who had been stalking me all day came up and said the line I would have just refused the dance. I'll take my name being written into the little black book of some weirdo rather than dance for them thank you very much. Even more so if I was a girl! However, in the Quentinverse Arlene gives the dance. After the deed is done I also found it bizarre that Pam (Rose McGowan) would actually get inside Stuntman Mike's car. Sure it's Kurt Russell so I probably would have accepted the ride too (any Snake Plissken fans out there?), but he's still a scary looking stranger with a scary looking car that she climbs into rather stupidly. Lastly is the way the second group of girls led by Rosario Dawson react to Stuntman Mike trying to run them off the road. Once more if a random stranger tried that I might do a lot of things, but promptly deciding to hunt him down and kill him wouldn't be on the list. Maybe it's just me. I dunno.
