10 Glaring Goofs That Will Ruin 2015's Best Films For You

1. Pixar Plot-Holes Aplenty - Inside Out

There were a lot of high profile animated films released in 2015, most of which were distinctly average. Minions was a bit of a let-down, Home was a solid but forgettable effort from DreamWorks, and Hotel Transylvania 2 was about as good as you could have hoped for, but that's not saying much. Thankfully, the top dogs at Pixar were on hand to make sure the year didn't pass without any decent animated movies, offering up the typically heart-warming The Good Dinosaur and, in what was arguably the best film of the year animation or otherwise, Inside Out. Yet, just because Pixar are the masters of the art doesn't mean they don't drop the ball from time to time, and as brilliant as Inside Out undoubtedly is, it isn't perfect. In fact, there are a number of niggling plot holes that stop it from being so, such as the lack of an explanation as to why Joy cannot simply send the Core Memories back to HQ the way the Mind Workers do with the memory of the Gum Commercial, or why she doesn't use one the DNA ladders to climb the shelves in the Long-Term Memory for a better vantage point when lost. Also, it is established that Sadness knows how to read after she goes over the mind manuals, but later on when Bing Bong misreads a sign that actually says "DANGER", she fails to point it out. Put it down to her erratic behaviour perhaps, although one mistake that cannot be defended is Mum's disappearing glasses, which seem to temporarily vanish when we look at her from baby Riley's point of view right at the beginning of the movie. Which other rookie errors were made in great 2015 movies? Shout out any you spotted down in the comments.

Phil still hasn't got round to writing a profile yet, as he has an unhealthy amount of box sets on the go.
