3. Don't Go Alone
As our ancestors recognized long ago, man does not survive alone, yet it is common for characters in horror films to go against this logic and split up when staying together is the safer way to go. When going up against an insane killer, zombies, or some type of monster, your odds of survival rise substantially when you have the help of others to rely on. Horror movie characters appear to live in an alternate universe where going out into the creepy forest to investigate a noise by yourself is a good idea, and the results are almost always fatal. Its hard to feel sorry for a character when they make a decision that even the most dense of people would recognize as foolish. These characters might as well slap a Kill Me sign on their back and rub themselves in a little sheeps blood. In horror situations, strength comes from numbers, so if you want to survive, bring friends.
