9. Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet has a stonking seven Oscar nominations to her name with one win, but since 2011 she's appeared in only one well-reviewed movie, Steve Jobs (for which she earned her seventh Oscar nod).

The ten other films she's starred in during that time have all been savaged by critics: Movie 43, Labour Day, two Divergent movies, A Little Chaos, Triple 9, The Dressmaker, Collateral Beauty, The Mountain Between Us and Wonder Wheel. Oof.

Winslet at least remains a well-respected actress as most of these flops have been fairly low-profile, and they've done little to dent her reputation as one of the finest performers of her generation.

In terms of a critical streak-breaker, she's currently filming Avatar 2, which will probably score solid reviews, though isn't due out until 2020. Fingers crossed she finds a worthy project before then.
