10 Good Actors Trapped Making Terrible Movies
8. Morgan Freeman
At 80 years of age, Morgan Freeman is well and truly in the "no f***s given" paycheck-grabbing period of his career, and considering the appearance of legitimacy and gravitas he can bring to even the most terrible movie, why the hell not?
The legendary actor's last critically praised film was 2014's Dolphin Tale 2, and since then he's shown up in nine consecutive critical duds: Last Knights, 5 Flights Up, Ted 2, Momentum, London Has Fallen, Now You See Me 2, Ben-Hur, Going in Style and Just Getting Started.
Freeman has freely admitted that he returned for London Has Fallen for the paycheck, and that's clearly his major motivation right now. Considering that most of his upcoming movies are VOD-baiting thrillers and, yes, the sequel to London Has Fallen, his only remote hope for a critical hit is fantasy flick The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Hmmm.
