8. Final Destination 2 - Squished By A Giant Pane Of Glass

The Final Destination series is renowned for its creative ways of killing people, so it's tough to pick out just one example from the entire franchise that stands above the rest. Poor old Tim from Final Destination 2 is our choice though, purely because of how gruesome the death scene is, and how spectacularly the camera builds up grisly fate.

You know how the story goes: a tragic accident that will kill hundreds of people is foreseen by one individual who, themselves, is to be involved in said catastrophe. Upon picturing the gruesome event, the inexplicably gifted person interrupts the soon-to-be death scene before it can happen - saving countless potential lives, but really only condemning them to one worse than if they had just died how they were supposed to.

Little Tim in Final Destination is one such soul who's terrible fate is already decided. After being saved from utter chaos in a gigantic pileup on an American freeway, Tim and his dear mother count themselves lucky and proceed to carry on with the normal, mundane lives. Except, they're obviously both going to die, and it's dear Tim's turn to go first.

The scene has Tim visiting the dentist (where everyone expects him to die), and eventually coming out unscathed minus a few close shaves, only to die a few moments later, when he's utterly crushed by a giant pane of glass. We don't think Tim's mum would have been able to give him an open-casket funeral somehow. Hell, we'd be surprised if he got one at all, considering his remains largely consisted of red mulch on the floor.
