10 Graphic Novels DCEU Fans Must Read

9. Deathstroke: The Professional

Dark Knight Returns Thumb
DC Comics

After the lukewarm reception to Tony Daniels' New 52 Deathstroke, Christopher Priest's take on the character is just on another level, with the former Black Panther writer reminding readers why Slade Wilson is the deadliest man on the planet.

In regards to the DCEU, the anti-hero is going back to his villainous roots, with the character already being set up as the antagonist of the almost inevitable sequel to Justice League, as seen in the post-credit scene of DC's team-up film. Fans may also recognise the character from Manu Bennett's portrayal in the Arrowverse, or even the character's appearances in the Teen Titans cartoon.

Wherever you know the character from, Priest's run is one of, if not the, best places to start with the comic incarnation of Deathstroke.
