10 Graphic Novels MCU Fans Must Read
1. Infinity Gauntlet
Despite not sharing the name with the Russo brothers' MCU film, Infinity Gauntlet contains a lot more elements of said film than the comic its name comes from. Even though it shares more elements with this comic, the Infinity War film is still massively different, being practically its own thing, only borrowing a few iconic moments from this book, such as Thanos' devastating (and surprising) population-altering snap.
In the 1991 comic, both the Silver Surfer and Adam Warlock are basically main characters, along with Thanos and Death. Thanos' motivation in the book is a lot more ridiculous too, with the Mad Titan initially seeking to win the favour of Lady Death, making Thanos' intent in the film a lot more sensible in comparison, despite the obvious flaws in his plan. However, Thanos isn't the main antagonist throughout, and that's just one of the many differences the book boasts.
This graphic novel is just the first entry in Marvel's Infinity arc, with other notable books being Infinity War, Infinity and the upcoming Infinity Wars Prime, giving you plenty of choice when it comes to events involving Thanos.
