After the events of the comic book Civil War and a whole series of events in his own title, Tony Stark decides he needs a break, which he takes in the form of a vacation in space.
Brian Michael Bendis brings the full movie roster of the first Guardians film to the panels of Marvel for the first time, along with Iron Man. Bendis also brings the more comedic tone the Guardians are known for to the comics, with previous incarnations being more serious.
Despite not being the most recent run of the Guardians book, Bendis' stint is certainly a great place to start.
