This might possibly be the most controversial choice on the list, because who doesn't love to hate (but actually secretly just plain love) Tom Hiddleston as Loki? But there's only so far the trickster god's caddish charm can take him, and after a while both Hiddleston and his audience might get a little tired of his flip-flopping allegiances and general untrustworthiness. Which is why a change of face, age and motivation might go a long way for the MCU's most consistent villain. Kid Loki was introduced in a relatively recent, extremely well-regarded run of Journey Into Mystery as a version of the character who struggles to rid himself of his negative image while also still living up to his nefarious reputation in a lot of ways. It's a unique take on the character that's ripe for interpretations involving a great deal of humour and pathos, something we know already fits Loki to a tee. Hugo's Asa Butterfield has the right look (and height) to pull off Loki's younger self, and he has more than enough big-budget film credits under his belt to be able to carry a Marvel Studios picture.
