7. Rocket Raccoon Threatens Thanos
This is epic. And, even better, it could actually happen very soon with both of these characters set to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This moment occurred in the Thanos Imperative #1, when Thanos had been captured and was in a weakened state. He had Star-Lord in a death grip and was about to kill him before Rocket Raccoon showed up in a power suit and told him to let go of him. He knew the suit's weapons wouldn't kill Thanos and told him as much. However, he tells Thanos that the suit will disable him in his weakened state long enough for them to drop him off at in nearby black hole. Rocket knows Thanos's weakness - he doesn't want to live, he craves death, and the event horizon would ensure that Thanos lived an endless life and be unable to die. Totally and utterly badass. And the best thing about it? It worked. Thanos let Star-Lord go. What we've seen of Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy so far in the short trailer looks great, so seeing this on the big screen would be amazing.
