4. David Tennant - Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin

We spoke earlier about people getting their second chance at the MCU and, in a way, this is one of those cases. The only difference being that David Tennant isn't getting another shot because of how abysmal his previous effort was, but instead because of how goddamn good he was the first time around.

Tennant was arguably the highlight of Netflix's Jessica Jones. He was creepy, terrifying and almost utterly inhuman...whilst still possessing precisely the level of charm you'd expect from a complete and utter sociopath such as Kilgrave. And, we should be clear, that creepy, manipulative charm is something Tennant has a fair talent for. Hell, it's his bread and butter at this point. Another key bit of recent work that highlights this perfectly is Deadwater Fell. Seriously, guys, check it out, it is absolutely killer.

It's precisely this kind of personality and behaviour that's necessary for someone to play a character such as Norman Osborn. Osborn starts off as an amoral, corrupt businessman with zero scruples, sure, but he still possesses an undeniable charm, but his descent into utter madness is so gradual that it's almost a trickle of insanity. That's a hell of a lot of balls to juggle at once, but Tennant is undeniably up to the task.
