Taking a break from being an Avenger, Elizabeth Olson stars alongside fan-favourite comedienne Aubrey Plaza in Ingrid Goes West, a socially aware and brilliantly awkward dark comedy from director Matt Spicer.

Plaza stars as Ingrid, an enormously unhinged social media stalker who travels to Los Angeles to seek out Instagram star Taylor Sloane (Olson), whose life appears perfect and whose image Ingrid seems to be obsessed with.

As the two become friends (no thanks to some manipulative "chance encounters" orchestrated by Ingrid), Ingrid begins to realise Taylor's persona is built on a lie and that real life is not quite as glamorous as it can look on the Internet.

An incredibly funny and well-acted movie, Ingrid Goes West's works wonders because of its smart and topical social observations. Whilst a full-blown comedy in its own right, it's also a massively impressive and well-written film about peoples' obsession with social media and how disconnected from life many people have become.
