10 Great Directors Who Should Really Helm A Superhero Movie

2. Adam Arkin

Adam Arkin1 Adam Arkin never really made it as an actor. He did some shows, but none of them really supplanted him into the public consciousness the way that he obviously wanted them to. So, like many handsome older gentlemen before him, he has stepped behind the camera in recent years and really proven himself as the creative lead. He recently helmed an episode of Sons of Anarchy, and was the leading director for Season 1 of The Americans, FX's amazing new show about Russian spies in the United States during the Cold War. He has also done more than a few episodes of Justified, and he handled some pretty fantastic ones at that. I never thought I'd say this, but the love interest from 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter would make one hell of a superhero flick.
