10 Great Disney Movies You've Probably Never Heard Of
8. The Rescuers/ Rescuers Down Under
This entry does focus on two films as opposed to one. That is down to the fact that they are both fantastic, but seem to have completely disappeared from the mainstream, despite their potential as a brand. Disney has many properties based around anthropomorphic animals, but this is one of the most charming.
The story surrounding The Rescuers follows Miss Bianca and Bernard, two mice that form the Rescue Aid Society. As the title makes clear, these mice act as agents to solve issues. There is so much tension and so many thrills on their adventures, that they always feel spirited and alive.
The dynamic between the two leads is excellent, and the connection that they generate with the characters that they help always feels mutually beneficial.
There are some darker elements - as all good kids films should have - that help to make the features compelling. It is a shame that this duo isn't more well-remembered.
