10 Great Examples Of No-Selling Attacks In Movies

1. The Bullet To The Eyeball (Superman Returns)

Superman Returns Bullet When a bank-robber with a Gatling gun is firing from a rooftop down at the police below, two officers attempt to sneak up on him from behind. They open fire on him, but he is wearing a bullet-proof vest and they run out of bullets without causing him any harm. He then turns his attention to them and rotates the Gatling gun towards them. He presses the trigger and the bullets begin to head towards the police officers, with the movie operating in slow motion. Superman flies in, after the bullets have already been fired and, using his incredible superspeed, gets between the gun and the police officers and uses his body as a shield. The robber empties the Gatling gun on Superman as he walks through the bombardment of bullets, totally unaffected, and approaches the robber. The robber then pulls out a handgun and, from only a few inches away, fires it directly at Superman's eyeball. The bullet hits Superman on the eye, which crushes the bullet, which subsequently drops to the ground, as Superman smiles and the robber craps his pants. That's right, Superman no-sold a bullet, to the eyeball, from point-blank range. And there you have it; Ten great examples of no-selling attacks in movies. Like the list?
