10. Performance Issues (The Avengers)
Let's kick things off with a completely different kind of no-sell to the typical examples of physical attacks that are mostly associated with the term. In the Avengers movie, Tony Stark figures out that Loki has headed to the top of Stark Tower so that everyone in New York can see his plan of action taking effect. He confronts Loki and bravely - or, perhaps more accurately, stupidly - does so sans his trusty armour. Stark explains to Loki exactly who he will be up against if he goes through with his plans (Thor, Hulk, Captain America etc) and Loki approaches him. Loki then questions how those heroes will have time to fight him when they'll be too busy fighting Stark and proceeds to attempt to get him under control. He places his spear (which had previously been used to gain control of the likes of Erik Selvig and Hawkeye) on Stark's chest and nothing happens - Stark completely no-sells it - because it hits his arc reactor, not his body. Loki states that "this usually works" and Stark humorously likens the situation to someone having sexual performances issues.
