10 Great Examples Of No-Selling Attacks In Movies

9. The Bullet To The Head (X-Men Origins: Wolverine)

wolverine shot in the head After finding his faux girlfriend's bloodied body in the forest, Logan blames his brother Victor for her death. He finds Victor at a local bar and loses a fight to him and, soon after, William Stryker explains that Victor has gone rogue and offers Logan a way to become strong enough to get his revenge - by offering him the opportunity to undergo a painful operation to reinforce his skeleton with adamantium, a virtually indestructible metal. Having revealed that it was just a ploy to test the procedure, in order to later put it to use on Weapon XI (Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds), once the procedure is complete, Stryker attempts to betray Logan by ordering that his DNA is used on Weapon XI and by ordering that his memory be erased. Logan, still submerged in the water tank in which the procedure took place, hears Stryker and promptly rises from it with the intention of attacking him. Stryker orders that his men put Logan down and they open fire on him, but a bullet hits Logan on the forehead and he completely no-sells it. It does nothing to him but leave a little mark, which promptly heals, thanks to the adamantium and Wolverine's healing factor.
