10 Great Horror Films You Probably Missed In 2015

3. Landline Goes Click

Landmine Goes Click is a Georgian thriller from Levan Bakhia, a strikingly brutal inquiry into the nature of revenge, gender and human interaction. Thematically reminiscent of I Spit On Your Grave and Last House On The Left, the film is a gritty and unflinching tale of retribution. Three college-age Americans, an engaged couple and their best friend are backpacking through the Georgian mountains, but everything is thrown into turmoil when one member of the trio, Chris, steps on a landmine, effectively trapping him in one spot. What follows is a tense affair that thrives on a constant barrage of twists and turns. The result is one of the most uncomfortable films of recent years, but also an effective one. It's the captivating narrative that makes the film work, and thus it's difficult to delve into what makes it work without potential spoilers. Just take it from me; you€™ll be questioning the very essence of human morality after this one.

Most of my time is occupied by reading, staring at a screen, being oppressed by the government and awaiting the return of the Great Old One Cthulhu... I also write a little too.
