2. Kate - Army Of The Dead
Zack Snyder returned to the zombie genre with 2021's Army of the Dead. Though most of the film is a fun and entertaining romp, many fans agree that if there was one sore spot in the movie, it would be Kate Ward.
The character is the daughter of protagonist Scott Ward, but while our hero is devoted to his daughter, audiences did not share the same sentiment.
In an attempt to rescue her friend Geeta, Kate tells her dad that she'll be accompanying the team. If he says otherwise, she'll sneak in anyway. Kate of course eventually abandons the group, despite the threat of a nuclear launch on Las Vegas. This forces Scott and his ally Peters to go look for the young woman, which gets them killed by the end of Army of the Dead. What makes it worse is that Geeta, the person Kate was trying to rescue this entire time, dies during a helicopter crash - making Kate's quest entirely pointless.
In a sea of heroes, villain, rogues, and colorful characters, Army of the Dead makes the worst mistake of making the most annoying character into its final girl.
