When he chomps down on her boyfriend's brain, a zombie starts turning human after falling in love his victim's partner. It'd be a pretty wholesome meet cute if it weren't for all the cannibalism.
When it comes right down to it, Warm Bodies is literally about how the power of love can warm even the coldest of hearts. Cheesy? Yes. Does that make it any less beautiful? Not at all.
In fact, the cheese is exactly what makes it so wonderful. At the end of the day, cheesy is just another way of saying sincere, and there is nothing wrong with a little sincerity. By embracing its inherent cheesiness, the movie does what many others are afraid to do out of not wanting to look lame. It wears its heart on its sleeve, and for that it's truly something special.
