10 Great Horror Romance Movies For The Loved And Lost

8. Fright Night (2011).

The 2011 version of Fright Night manages to do what few remakes have. Not only is it actually good, it also successfully stands apart from the original. This is especially true when it comes to the romance between Charley and Amy.

When a new, mysterious man moves in next door, high school student Charley starts to suspect he may be harboring a dark secret. Unfortunately for him, he is very much right.

While the 1985 classic is inarguably a top-tier horror flick, what gives this a spot over it is the chemistry between its two leads. Not even sexy vampire Colin Farrell could come between them for long.

It's hard to believe that Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots were merely acting. His awkward, anxious, nerd energy is wonderfully complimented by her overt extroversion.

Their characters are totally opposite in personality, but they're just so good at bouncing off each other that it creates a genuinely believable relationship. So, when crap hits the fan, the drama is escalated because what they have feels so real.
