10 Great Improvised MCU Moments

3. The First Hug - Spider-Man: Homecoming

...because we're now slap bang in the middle of a trilogy highlighting Spider-Man improvs!

After two relatively heavy entries, this one brings us back to the lighter side of the MCU. The above scene depicts Peter Parker and Tony Stark in happier times, as the latter tries to mentor young Peter in the ways of the superhero ("Don't do anything I would do. And definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do.")

Tom Holland has gone on record stating that much of the scene was improvised - we're willing to bet Tony's line about Aunt May wearing something skimpy came straight from the mind of Robert Downey Jr. - and it was Downey Jr.'s idea to try have Peter try and hug Tony at the end. Not to be outdone, RDJ immediately shot back with the perfect quip.

For an off-the-cuff moment, Peter and Tony's almost-hug was an emotional goldmine for the MCU. At the time it perfectly symbolized Peter and Tony's shaky mentor-mentee relationship, and it received the ultimate pay-off in the pair's emotional hug in Endgame.

It was, until recently, your writer's favourite moment of improvisation involving Tom Holland's webslinger...
