It's hard to believe he's any one of those five men pictured above. Someone that powerful, that enigmatic couldn't really exist could they? While I guess this could be seen as stretching the criteria, allow me to be explain. Ultimately someone is Keyser Soze, someone is pulling the strings behind the big bad wolf exterior, and the hear say. In my own eyes the puppet and the puppeteer are completely different beings. However they aren't a scary Turkish warlord, the stuff of nightmares, Satan himself as people claim. The legend and mystery of Keyser Soze is what makes The Usual Suspects (1995) such an unforgettable film. If the facade hadn't been there, it'd have just been a run of the mill crime movie. The yearning to find out who lies behind the mask is what creates the sheer tension, and suspense that's the driving force of the film. Who really is Keyser Soze? well that'd be far too harsh of me to spoil for those who haven't seen The Usual Suspects, though I suspect many of you have.
