In what culminates after a blissful goodnight kiss with chorus girl Kathy Selden (Debbie Reynolds), movie star Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) breaks out in song and dance regardless of the "California Dew" falling on him from above. This scene is forever a classic in Hollywood cinema, and it really set the standard for scenes in the rain that still has yet to be unmatched.
