10 Great Movie Villains With Really Dumb Motivations

9. T-1000 - Terminator 2

Look, the T-1000 terminator is a machine like no other. Fans look back at this villain with all the nostalgia their hearts can muster and his impact does make sense. He is a great villain in a lot of ways, it's just that he misses out on a logical motivation.

Once again, a villain falls victim to repeated character design.

Skynet is a great overarching villain, but they lack any real believability at this point. Why does an ultra-intelligent software system keep attacking the same person? At some point, they need to be smarter than that concept.

Unfortunately, the T-1000 gets hurt by that mistake and ends up feeling like an update on a more iconic villain due to the lack of any new motivating factor.
