The fact he’s working as a frontman for a more prominent villain is not the problem here - it’s the reason for his staying that feels silly. The father of the girl you protected in prison left you to fend for yourself. Bane owes Ra’s al-Ghul nothing, yet he gives his entire life to the League Of Shadows.
Sure, he does it to serve Talia al-Ghul, but that’s a weak motivator. He was scarred for life working to protect her and he gets precisely no reward in return. He’s like the saddest friend-zone character ever. Seriously Bane, think about what your friends do for you before giving your life to tearing down a random city across the world.
