10 Great Movies About Making Movies

10. Living in Oblivion

This saucy little independent film tells the tale from 3 different perspectives about the worst things that could happen on set while shooting a saucy little independent film. Actors flubbing their lines, booms in the shot, prima-donna stars. This 1995 film from writer/director Tom DiCillo (who based the film on his own experiences) hits the nail on the head every time. Living in Oblivion features a terrific comedic performance by Steve Buscemi as the harried director, Catherine Keener in one of her earliest roles and Game of Throne's Peter Dinklage as a frumpy dwarf named Tito. A must see for any aspiring Tarantino.
